From the moment I picked up a camera to document a childhood trip to Central America, I’ve been hooked, seeking to communicate my view of the World and beauty to others through a craft I feel incredibly fortunate to have discovered. Following my passion for photography I moved to New York City where I studied photography at The School of Visual Arts, explored and documented the streets of the city, and soon after began photographing weddings.
I ultimately seek to empower my clients to be able to fully enjoy and live in the moment, aiming to beautifully capture the real and unique story that occurs there. It really is that simple and, I believe, should be just that.
“James approaches weddings with an amiable personality that immediately puts clients and guests at ease. His thoughtful approach, keen eye, and photo-journalistic sensibility enable him to capture every moment authentically and inconspicuously.”
I'm thankful to have been featured in Style Me Pretty, Martha Stewart Weddings, New York Times, Wedding Chicks, Man Repeller, Carats & Cake, Snippet & Ink, and numerous other publications.
